Help Me Rate The Plus Size Clothing Lines
December 5, 2008
One of the things I want to do with this blog is to rate the various plus size clothing lines, whether or not I carry them in my shop. Like I mentioned on my last post, some designers and apparel manufacturers don’t really design specifically for large framed women. Others do!
Please help me to decide on what items to carry. I’ll make a post about a particular clothing line. Please visit the page for that line or that store and make a comment back as to what you like and dislike about it, ok?
One line of note is the Kiyonna line. Here’s why I like them so much, and why I use their images n my index page slideshow:
1. They use plus size models! Don’t you find it disheartening when you see an ad for a pretty plus size dress, and it’s being modeled by some size 10 twig of a little girl? What do they do? Pin up the extra fabric in the back? Can’t they find a pretty large woman anywhere in the country? Come on!
And how does that help me to see how it might look on my size 18 body??
2. THE STYLE is not geared toward a teenaged market-although I’m sure that a lot of teens love them anyway. It’s geared to a fashion savvy group of women from about 25-45. The Kiyonna fashions range from business perfection to elegant and then it proceeds on to sexy.
3. PRICING
Kiyonna dresses, skirts and pants are not the cheapest in the marketplace, but these days, I’d rather have a few things that are beautiful and versatile than a lot of Walmart things. Kiyonna clothing isn’t the most expensive in the field, either. It’s a well priced line of quality, stylish
clothing that fits well.
If I actually worked outside of the home I’d probably have a lot more Kiyonna fashions. But since I work from my computer at home, I only have a few of this line’s things, but I absolutely LOVE them. I admit it, at home I’m a tee shirt and shorts kinda girl.
Take a look at the Kiyonna items I carry in my shop, then visit the main site at www.kiyonna.com to be even more wowed.
Take a look and then comment
back with a rating from 1 star to 5 stars. I always like feedback!
