Welcome to My Plus Size World
December 2, 2008

Hello! My name is Ina, which is short for Georgina, which is Scottish and pronounced with an “i” that sounds like “eye.” And yes, already, I know that it rhymes with a female body part.
I wasn’t always a big girl. I mean I was a regular size baby and even got married in a size 10 wedding gown. But life happens. I gained weight. I got over it, and I sure wish everyone else would. Full Figured can, and does, mean sexy and successful.
My passion is stylish plus size clothing. If I could, I’d shop all day-going from one mall to another looking for the prettiest, and sexiest blouses, dresses
and swimsuits. So I’m very aware of the problems curvy women have when trying to find fashionable clothing.
Some manufacturers and designers of plus size clothing think that it’s fine just to enlarge their patterns and call the clothing plus size. Well, it’s not. Full figured means bigger busts in comparison to a skinny girl dress measurements. So what you end up with is a size 18 dress with room only for an “A” cup set of boobs.
This is especially true in “designer” duds. Designers don’t design for women with a D cup. They just make a size three into a size 20, but keep the bust size at an A or B cup. And God forbid that we have a butt that is a tad out of proportion.
Another kind of manufacturer or designer thinks ELASTIC is a plus size woman’s best friend. Uhhh…it’s NOT. Don’t you just love those pants that fit your waist fine, with the elastic and all… But then there is all this extra material hanging down in front down to your crotch. Crazy!
I’ve made a hobby out of checking out various lines of plus size clothing.
I like to find great deals and clothing that actually fits us. It’s my goal
to ferret out the best and most stylish apparel for my real-women sisters and to tell you about those manufacturers that work best for us, while saving us money so we can buy a lot more!
Ina
